• compression algoritması nedir bilmemekle birlikte eğer zor compress olacak bir şey koymuşsanız executable'ınızın içine %106 gibi bir compression ratio'ya ulaştığı anda "notcompressibleexception" diyerek quit eden software. oysa orda compress edilecek ne güzel code sectionlar var, onlara baksana sen esas diyemiyor insan. haliyle: olmamış.
• asprotect,telock,vbox hikaye olunca upx gibi mutevazi packerlar , reversingi onlemekten ziyada boyut kucultmede kullanilabilir..
• signature'u değişmiş executable'larda upx'in -d opsiyonuyla bu upx'lenmemiş ben bunu decompress edemem dediği bir gerçektir ve fakat bu ilgili signature üç adet ('u','p','x',0) dwordünden ve birtakım gereksiz versiyon karakterlerinden ibaret olduğu için decompress etmek hiç dert olmayan program. peki napılır? bir adet upx source'u download edilir, compression algoritması ve decompressor stub kodu modify edilir, recompile edilir, böylece nolur? bi bok olmaz. decompress etmek isteyen disassemble eder, yine eder. • bir benzeri aspack olan mükemmel yazılım. henüz işe yaramadığı bir exe görmedim ben.
• komut satırıyla veya bat dosyasıyla uğraşmadan pack veya unpack yapabilmeniz için bu programı indiriniz upx gui
  tarafımca denemiş olup pack yapmayı çok kolaylaştırmıştır. upx'in eski sürümünü (2.03) içermektedir ancak çok iyi sıkıştırma yapabilmektedir.
