• boylesi gercekten gorulmedi dedirten olaylarin kahramani basit (aslinda cok cok basit) algoritma.

soz konusu algoritmayi gelistiren arkadaslar bi grup doktora ogrencisi.natural language processing falan gibi bisey uzerine calisiyolar.cs alaninda calisanlarin artik anlamsiz makaleler yayinlamaya basladigi dusuncesinden kaynaklanan scigen adini verdikleri bir "automatic cs paper generator" yapmislar.

algoritma cok basit calisiyo.kodunu falan da koymuslar sayfalarina, indirip kendi isminizi girerek kendi random paperinizi uretebilirsiniz.bi bok bilmeyene anlamliymis gibi gorunen tamamen anlamsiz cumleleri hicbir kurala uymadan ardarda birlestiriyo.text'in icinde kullandigi random kelimeleri sunulan grafiklerin eksenlerine falan yerlestiriyo.denklem koymak istediginde de maxwell denklemleri, schrodinger wave equation gibi bilindik seylerin degiskenlerini paper boyunca uyumlu bi sekilde random degistirerek denklem uretiyo.ulasmak icin,

    cvs password: _press return_
    % cvs -d :pserver:anoncvs@cvs.pdos.lcs.mit.edu:/cvs co -p scigen

cumle cumle okursaniz " ... we have implemented an algorithm ... the computational cost is high, and the method does not work at all. after all, we believe that this method is even not capable of being improved ..." ya da "this equation may or may not hold in reality" gibi bomba cumleler de var.benim favori bomba cumlem asagidaki...

" for example, consider the parsing of "bathtub" ... interestingly, this discovery was made in the bathtub by the second author and his girlfriend whose activities and involuntary vocalisations at that moment led to some considerable difficulty with a range of pronunciation tasks."

as indicated above, one of our computer generated papers got accepted to wmsci 2005. our current plan is to go there and give a completely randomly-generated talk, delivered entirely with a straight face. however, this is very expensive for grad students such as ourselves. so, we ask that you consider making us a small paypal donation to help us toward this dream of ours; even $5 is useful if enough people contribute. note that this does not require a paypal account. the conference is in july 2005, in orlando, fl. we promise to videotape the talk and post it online, if we're able to attend. if we can't raise the necessary funds by the time of the conference, or don't otherwise attend the conference, we will refund any donations we have received.

estimated cost for 2 people to attend (the talk-giver and the video-taper):

    conference registration fee (2): $780
[note: one of these fees might not be necessary, if we can sneak the video-taper in. we won't know if this is possible until we get to the conference though. we would prefer to give wmsci less money if at all possible.]
    1 hotel room (2 nights): $260
estimated airfare from boston to orlando (1): $170 (someone has already pledged flyer miles for one)
    food, ground transportation, etc.: $100
    randomly-generated talk: priceless
    estimated total: $1310

alkislamaktan ellerim acidi, ben bagisimi yaptim, gitsinler gonullerince sacmalasinlar.sadece para kazanma amacli bilimsellikten uzaklasamis konferanslari da bizim icin tek tek ayiklayip rezilini cikarsinlar.

ellerinize saglik gencler diyor, ayakta alkisliyorum.
