• greenday'in günümü aydınlatan parçası. düşünün şimdi servistesiniz. iğrenç bir radyo kanalı, iğrenç sesli, geyik ötesi bir sunucu bar bar bağırmakta. arkada oturan peltek hatun geveze mahmut ustayla saçmasapan siyasi bir diyaloğa girmiş ama bir bok bilmediği için sürekli aynı şeyleri tekrarlıyor. bütün cümleler bolca "hıhı" ve "dimi"'lerle süslenmiş. daha arkada at yarışı muhabbeti, önde şoför kendi çapında stand up yapıyor. kusmak geliyor içinizden. kulaklığı takıyorsunuz ve bu şarkının girişi... nasıl anlatayım böyle çok sıcak bir yaz gününde deli gibi susamışsınızdır ya, su içtiğinizde boğazınıza akan o ilk damlaları düşünün... işte öyle hissettiriyor insana.
• son 25 yılın punk rock efsanesi haline gelen green day'in, en protest albümlerinin en protest sözlerini barındıran, dönemin bush hükümeti başta olmak üzere bütün savaş yanlısı "hitlerlere" salladığı muhteşem parça. konsept albümün en vurucu şarkılarından birisidir bu. american idiot albümünü defalarca dinlemek ister insan bu parçadan sonra.
